[Through the camera, Alois can be seen sitting on the table of a nice, spacious living room. He's idly kicking his legs mid-air and looks quite cheerful.]

So today I and Luca are moving in with Ciel! His Manor is so fucking huge he certainly cannot live in it all by himself. He'd get scared at night. [A giggle.] But today it's a very special day for him. It's his birthday! So all you people better come over at the Manor and say happy birthday to Ciel! If you do, I'll give you a slice of the cake I made. Luca helped me bake it! So it's delicious.

[Because everything Luca touches can only be delicious and perfect. For a minute, Alois idly rocks back and forth on the table, looking pensive. Then he smiles brilliantly at the camera once again.] So! For those of you who don't like cake, remember to say happy birthday to Ciel Phantomhive anyway. Or I'll fucking gut you. Understood?

[There are more giggles. Then the connection ends.]

[Ciel's yelling startles him. Ciel is always so calm, it's difficult to see him worked up. But seeing him in such a state makes Alois grow more agitated too. He's crying and sobbing so hard he barely manages to breathe.]

I am trying to move forward. But it's not easy when you live with someone who tells the fucking servants you're crazy and who judges everything you do.

I did not say you were crazy. I said you were fickle- and it happens to be true. You're not trying, you're acting like a spoilt brat and crying when you do not get your way. Accept that you can only save yourself and you cannot rely on anyone else to do it for you.

[Ciel's words hurt. They hurt a lot. Not because of the reasons Ciel might think of, though. Claude left Alois because he disliked his weakness. That is not a wound that will easily heal.]

You are the spoiled brat here. You had a family and a nice house and you never had to fight for things half as much as I did. [It hurts to admit that yes, he once was Jim Macken.] I fought for every single thing I obtained in my life, so don't tell me I'm weak. It's bullshit.

[And he's tired of being so mean. It's not in his nature to keep hurting people without a reason. Mostly because he's experienced too much of that on his own skin to enjoy it.]

Even if I were weak, I wouldn't care. I'm not like you. I don't give a shit about power or revenge or whatever the fuck else. I just wanted my family and they took it away from me. [And he's getting worked up again.]

You are weak, a contractee without a wish is as good as dead to a demon and it's too obvious to me that's why Claude betrayed you. You didn't care about the fundamental things that demons thrive off of; so, did you think that you would wish for a happy ending and it would be granted to you? Don't make me laugh!

[A common thief. Who whores his way into nobility. If Ciel had slapped Alois, he would have hurt him much less than he did with these words.

You are weak. You are as good as dead to demons. Coming from Ciel who now is a demon himself, this hurts even more. He's remembering Claude's words now. I can't possibly grow hungry in front of a soul who gives its love to a lowly butler. You will be just a useful tool.

He thought he'd changed Claude. He thought he did get his happy ending. But Ciel is right. He's here now, Claude hasn't come for him. He probably never will, because Alois is not worth that much.

He looks at Ciel's back. Ciel is a demon who did not abandon him, though. He came looking for him and brought him here. And Alois said those awful things about him. He didn't mean them. He's seen Ciel's past. He knows how much he suffered. He wants to hug Ciel's back and tell him he's sorry. He's sorry for being mean, sorry for having turned him into a demon. He's sorry for not being good enough in general.

Ciel suddenly made him aware of his current situation. Here he is, abandoned by the demon he loves in this hole of a city. So desperately alone he's looking for the ghost of that demon in the servants of the Manor. And the one who brought him here hates him. Hated him before and hates him even more now that he's finally seen what a disgusting little commoner Alois really is.

You disgust me. Suddenly Alois remembers how the villagers threw stones at him and spit on him. He disgusted them too. He was dirty back then too. Just like Father said, just like Sebastian said.

He cannot stand it anymore. He runs out of the room, hoping he will make it to the nearest toilet before he throws up.]
