[It's the voice of a child. The accent is distinctly British, and the tone is very anxious. The only part of him currently visible through the camera are his small pale hands, and there is a ring on the index finger of his right one. It's golden, set with a big rubin and small diamonds on each side.]
Hannah! Luca! Claude! Where is everyone-- Claude! [The hands are feverishly moving across a sea of childish drawings scattered on a dirty-looking floor. Among the papers there are some photographies, too. They all portray the same pair of smiling boys. The younger one is as dark as the older one is fair.] L- Luca. Why are your drawings-- and these pictures--
[There are some scuffling sounds and the camera gets shifted until the child comes to focus. He's the same blond boy portrayed in the pictures. He's no older than 13 or 14, and looks very shaken. There are tears running down his cheeks, but his tone is furious.] Claude! You promised you would've never left me alone again! Come here this instant or--
[He starts sobbing and curls up on the floor. Scattered all around him there are more drawings and some dust-covered toys. He picks up am old-looking, tattered plush rabbit and clutches it to his chest.] Please. Please Claude I-- it's too dark here. Claude-- I'm scared I'm scared I'm-- please come here. You know I'm scared. I don't want to be alone I-- I want us to go back home. Please don't leave me here-- Claude!
[Then the connection is lost.]

His tears, his shaky voice, his sobbing-- everything disappears the moment he sees his little brother on the screen. Suddenly he's not Alois Trancy anymore, just the Big Brother. And Big Brothers are supposed to never show weaknesses, and to always look like they've got things under control.]
Luca-- it's going to be alright. We're not home anymore but we'll go back soon, okay? Claude and Hannah will come and get us, I promise. [Just like he always promised he'd find something to eat when they still lived in the village and Luca was hungry. And he always had. He'd never let his little brother down.] Where are you? I'll come and get you, and we'll wait together. [And he manages to smile. No matter in what kind of hell on earth they ended up, he's going to make sure Luca doesn't worry about it. Ever.]
