C-Claude-- it's dark.

[It's the voice of a child. The accent is distinctly British, and the tone is very anxious. The only part of him currently visible through the camera are his small pale hands, and there is a ring on the index finger of his right one. It's golden, set with a big rubin and small diamonds on each side.]

Hannah! Luca! Claude! Where is everyone-- Claude! [The hands are feverishly moving across a sea of childish drawings scattered on a dirty-looking floor. Among the papers there are some photographies, too. They all portray the same pair of smiling boys. The younger one is as dark as the older one is fair.] L- Luca. Why are your drawings-- and these pictures--

[There are some scuffling sounds and the camera gets shifted until the child comes to focus. He's the same blond boy portrayed in the pictures. He's no older than 13 or 14, and looks very shaken. There are tears running down his cheeks, but his tone is furious.] Claude! You promised you would've never left me alone again! Come here this instant or--

[He starts sobbing and curls up on the floor. Scattered all around him there are more drawings and some dust-covered toys. He picks up am old-looking, tattered plush rabbit and clutches it to his chest.] Please. Please Claude I-- it's too dark here. Claude-- I'm scared I'm scared I'm-- please come here. You know I'm scared. I don't want to be alone I-- I want us to go back home. Please don't leave me here-- Claude!

[Then the connection is lost.]

[His angst is momentarily forgotten and he's happy to see you, Ciel. You are his creation he made you and you look perfect. Just like he wanted you to.]

[Then suddenly he remembers his currently unfortunate situation.]

Because you are in an alternate dimension that few can escape from in a City that has a will of its own. That 'thing' is a communication device and, obviously, Claude did not follow you here for whatever reason. Sebastian did not follow me either.

Also, you needn't worry about Luca. He is safe.

You know where Luca is? Is he really alright? [His sobs are uncontrollable right now. He curls up tighter.] Wherever this place is, Claude will find me. He'd never leave me alone I-- I just need to wait here for him to come and save me. But this place is so dark and I can't find any fucking candles anywhere. [Sniffing.]

Don't be stupid. Even if he does come you are wasting your time moping in the dark. Your little brother needs you. You won't find candles, either, just feel for a switch along the wall and flip it upwards. The lights should come on.

[Alois does try to get up, but his legs are shaking too badly. He's also really too crippled by nyctophobia to do much right now.]

I can't get up-- I can't go anywhere if Claude's not here with me. It's dark, it's too dark and I'm scared. Ciel where are you?

He is. No and no -- but he is your responsibility.

Sounding now a bit more like how you were before. In answer to your questions: Luke Valentine, the City, don't know - he hasn't been here.

[His voice sounds pretty hysterical. Alois does manage to stand up enough to peek out of the window above his head. Seeing the street lights does calm him down a little bit.]

There are no bluebells anywhere-- I don't know this place. I don't know where I am. [Now he's sobbing really hard.] Why are Luca's drawings here if we're not home anymore?

[He's still clutching that tattered plush rabbit to his chest.] If Claude were here he he'd pick all the toys up off the floor. [And this makes him cry even harder.]

You need to calm down a bit.

How can I calm down if Claude is not here to calm me down.

They'll probably show up sometime after you if they're unlucky enough to catch the interest of this place.

I need you to go outside of that place and make yourself useful. At least tell me what you see.

I can't go outside! [Are you crazy Ciel!] It's dark out there, and it's dark in here too. I can't move.

[But he does try to peek around. The room is a bit lightened by the moonlight, at least.]

This place looks fucking abandoned. There's dust everywhere and pictures of me and Luca and that's wrong because we don't have a fucking camera in Nirvana so we've never taken pictures. [He's crying again now.] I don't wanna stay in this rotty dark place a fucking minute longer.

Then don't. Your brother should be enough motivation for you to get an idea of where you are.

Then that could mean that he isn't here or is just deciding to be a complete jerk.

This is all just speculation on my part so don't get too disapointed if this Claude person isn't here.

[But actually, he can. Alois Trancy is not Jim Macken anymore. He's not used to being strong and independent, but he's still Luca's brother. He'd do anything for him, including facing the darkness.

After enough whining, stumbling and sobbing, Alois finally manages to drag himself out of the apartment and into the street. He's still shaking and crying, but the street lights are slowly calming him down.]

I'm outside-- there's a fountain. [He holds the video device up to let Ciel see it.]

Claude is not a fucking jerk! [Yes he is, but not to Alois.]

He can't not be here. He's my butler and he's supposed to never leave my side and he can't leave me alone in a place like this.

I will be there shortly. Try not to make a fool of yourself while waiting.
